TRANSFER CREDITS
GPA CHANGES
When transcripts and credits move from a plus/minus system to another plus/minus system that is not exactly the same, the GPA will change. If they move from a plus/minus system into a straight 4.0 or letter grade system, the GPA will be different from school to school. Our school will take the letter grade, which will adapt into our GPA grading scale.
TRANSFERRING CREDITS TO ILEA
Transferring previous course credit from other institutions will be evaluated and accepted at our discretion. Generally, credit granted by schools accredited through Cognia, or equivalent regional accreditation associations, will be accepted. We reserve the right to deny the transfer of credits. Credits granted from other institutions or homeschool instruction may be accepted but are subject to in-depth review. Students will be asked to provide an outline of the courses covered and a report of the assignments completed, and grades earned.
TRANSFERRING CREDITS FROM ILEA TO ANOTHER SCHOOL
Generally, credit granted by schools accredited through Cognia, or equivalent regional accreditation associations, will be accepted. ILEA is accredited through Cognia and, as such, holds high standards in courses, curriculum, and credits.
Courses may be transferred to other schools. Please note that it is fully up to the receiving institution on what credits to accept. Please check with the receiving school prior to enrolling into ILEA if you have any questions or concerns.
INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Imagine Learning Excellence Academy welcomes students from all areas! Please note that transcripts must be official and must be translated into English by a certified translation center. Please include all original documents plus officially translated documents during registration.
Please note the additional fee to evaluate international transcripts.
Students must provide officially translated documents prior to evaluation.
HOMESCHOOL AND NON-ACCREDITED INSTITUTION TRANSFERS
Currently, Imagine Learning Excellence Academy cannot accept most homeschool transfers. We can work with you to explore credit recovery courses or other options. We plan to expand this program in the future.
